Research projects
Applied research plays an important role at our faculty alongside high-quality teaching. This is demonstrated by the numerous projects in which our professors are active as researchers and are recognised both nationally and internationally as experts in their field. The faculty is currently conducting research on the following topics:
Health (e.g. on digitalisation and health)
Communication (e.g. sign language / media anthropology, cultural identity, comparative aesthetics and photography / diversity and equality)
Human-technology interaction (e.g. on energy and battery research / climate protection, sustainability and resource conservation)

Promotion
In addition to doctorates in cooperation with a university, since 2023 it has also been possible to do a doctorate directly at universities of applied sciences and technical universities in Bavaria.
