Milestone in the history of Landshut University of Applied Sciences
The promotion of young academics is a high priority at Landshut University of Applied Sciences. Together with numerous universities, we offer cooperative doctoral opportunities. We also participate actively in the collaborative doctorate model within the Bavarian Science Forum (BayWiss).
The option of a direct doctorate at a university of applied sciences is new. Landshut University of Applied Sciences is introducing three topic specific graduate centers with their own right to award doctoral degrees: "Digital Technologies and their Application" (DigiTech), "Digital Innovations for a Changing Society" (DIWAG) and "Sustainable Intelligent Technologies for Resource-Optimised Production" (NITRO). The following pages contain the most important information and relevant documents. Additionally, you will find current and finished doctoral projects which may serve as an inspiration for you.
Research and more
A doctorate proofs your ability to carry out in-depth academic work and documents an independent research achievement on an academically relevant topic. Therefore, a dissertation needs to fulfill high qualitative and formal demands.
Regardless of the type of doctorate you are aiming for, you should be aware that in addition to long-term work on a topic, you will usually also be required to work at the university of applied sciences or university or on third-party funded projects. In addition, you will take advantage of further educational programmes to expand your skills and knowledge.
