What you need for starting your studies

Organisational matters in advance

• Look for a flat/shared flat early and register your new place of residence with the residents' registration office
• Receive a payment request and transfer the semester fee
• Submit the enrolment certificate to the health insurance company
• Discoverfinancing options and apply for BAföG if necessary
• Find out about scholarships

First steps at the university

• Familiarise yourself with the campus map
• Set up university WLAN and university e-mail address
• Register for SSO portal and online learning platform Moodle
• Create PRIMUSS timetable/enrol in the individual courses/modules
• Validate student ID and top up money (payment card for the canteen and cafeteria)

First events at the university

• Attend preliminary course(s) if necessary
• Attend your faculty'sintroductory event(s): here you will receive important information and can already make contacts with other students
• Take part in guided tours to familiarise yourself with the campus and the library
