Both the Bachelor's degree program in "Social Work" and the Bachelor's degree program in "Social Work in Child and Youth Welfare" can now be pursued in a dual format, specifically with enhanced practical training. The study contents are nearly identical to the previously known Bachelor's degree programs at the faculty but are supplemented with practical phases at partner organizations within the field of social work.
A unique aspect of the study programs with enhanced practical training at the Faculty of Social Work is that the practical experiences gained are purposefully reflected upon in a dedicated course within one module each semester. This creates a strong integration of theory and practice firmly embedded in the curriculum. These modules, known as TPV (Theory-Practice-Reflection) modules, cover various thematic focuses (including social pedagogical methods, project and casework, self-care, and professional roles) that are incorporated into the reflective work. In the winter semester, students will commence their reflective work in the seminar led by Manuela Weber in the TPV 1.2 Theory and Organizations of Social Work module.
