Compatibility of studying and working

This Master's degree programme is a full-time programme - the majority of courses are held in person. The scope is approximately 22 semester hours per week and is therefore comparable to a BA programme. This applies to the first two semesters - the third semester is dominated by the Master's thesis and there is also, for example, a self-awareness weekend, so that only a few courses have to be completed regularly during the week.

Attendance is only compulsory for a few courses (e.g. practical reflection/self-experience or the research workshop); attendance is not compulsory for all other courses. Of course, a successful degree programme is more likely if the majority of courses are attended. Online courses are only offered in individual cases.

Yes, it is common practice that many students on this degree programme have care responsibilities or work part-time (some up to 20 hours/week). If the gainful employment is in the clinical field, this can also be counted as practical work. We try to plan the courses in such a way that consecutive lecture periods are possible, so that there are also free periods. Students can also work full-time during the semester holidays. Modules can also be "postponed", which is not ideal but is particularly popular for the Master's thesis, which is then completed in the fourth semester.
