Pre-internship

For the Bachelor's degree programme in Civil Engineering, you need a six-week, full-time, continuous pre-study internship.

For the Bachelor's degree programme in Architecture, you need a eight-week, full-time, continuous pre-study internship.

The pre-study work placement provides an insight into the chosen professional field and the link between theoretical knowledge and real-life applications.

The confirmation of the pre-study internship should be submitted by 30 September. An extension of the submission deadline is possible upon request.

General information on the practical requirements:

  • The practical training at the FOS/BOS in the technical branch is also recognised for the pre-study internship.
  • The confirmation of the pre-study internship should be submitted by 30 September. An extension of the submission deadline is possible upon request.
  • You choose the company in which you complete the pre-study work placement yourself.
  • The pre-study work placement is documented by a confirmation from the work placement company.
  • A completed pre-study work placement does not have an "expiry date", i.e. it does not have to be completed immediately before the start of the degree programme.
