The university library is switching to the new, modern FOLIO library system. This affects all areas of the library, including the library catalogue.
The modernisation has been taking place in the background for some time without any noticeable restrictions in use.
In the period from March to June 2026, however, we will only be able to offer a reduced service due to the software changeover.
Access to the e-media and databases should be guaranteed with the exception of a few hours.
The 24-hour library is open at all times.
No interlibrary loan of books from 27.03. to 06.06.; alternative interlibrary loan possible via public library Landshut
Interlibrary loan book orders will not be possible at university of applied sciences Landshut from 27th March to 6th June.
Please remember to order any interlibrary loans you need in advance!
In an emergency, you can use the interlibrary loan service offered by the Landshut Public Library. We have an agreement with the Landshut Public Library. University members can order books free of charge through the interlibrary loan service provided by the Landshut Public Library.

The Bavarian State Library in Munich offers a free library card to anyone residing in Germany. You can apply for it online and use it after a few days, for example, to access electronic resources. If you need access for longer than 4 weeks, you must visit the BSB in person once during this period to pick up the card.
No print book lending from 22.05. 14pm to 03.06.
- No lending of physical media
- No use of the self-checkout facilities
- No orders from the stacks
- No returns (the loan periods are automatically extended by the corresponding period)
- No reservations
- No self-renewals (media are automatically renewed)
No application for library cards for external users
New library catalogue from Go Live
- In future, HAW Landshut members will be able to log in to their library account using their general university ID (no longer their library number).
- External users will continue to use their library number and a new password to be chosen by themselves when logging in for the first time.
- If you have maintained watch lists in the catalogue, please export them! Watch lists will not be transferred to the new catalogue.
