From October 4 to 6, 2026, our students in the Tax Consulting program and the participants in the Tax Competency Module attended the German Tax Advisors’ Day at the World Conference Center Bonn, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Zinser. The event at the World Conference Center Bonn not only offered a varied professional program but also numerous opportunities to make valuable contacts.
The Tax Advisors’ Day was opened by Torsten Lüth, President of the German Tax Advisors Association (Deutscher Steuerberaterverband e.V.), who addressed current challenges and future issues in tax consulting in his speech. He then discussed the industry’s current outlook with Reiner Holznagel, President of the German Taxpayers’ Association (Bund der Steuerzahler Deutschland e.V.), in a discussion moderated by David Rohde. Other high-profile speakers included the CEO of DATEV eG, President of the Federal Finance Court and former Federal Minister of the Interior and Defense a.D., Thomas de Maizière, provided fascinating insights into political, economic, and digital developments.
In addition to the numerous booths set up by companies, institutions, and tax consulting firms, the students had the opportunity to participate in a workshop on career paths in tax consulting. A particular highlight was the “Meet & Greet” with Torsten Lüth, president of the Steuerberaterverband e.V., during which the students were able to ask any questions they had.
