With a warm reception and many first impressions, Landshut University of Applied Sciences welcomed its international exchange students for the summer semester 2026 on March 11. The Welcome Day offered the newcomers from various countries the perfect opportunity to get to know the campus, the university, and student life in Landshut.
The day began with a welcome from the International Office and the student representatives, followed by an introduction to the most important procedures for starting their studies. A campus tour, a visit to the library, and a shared lunch in the cafeteria helped students quickly find their way around and make their first connections. In the afternoon, students were able to set up their IT accounts and familiarize themselves with the university’s digital systems.
The faculties also assisted the new students with finalizing their learning agreements - study arrangements for their semester - and took the opportunity to personally welcome them.
Varied program offering cultural insights
In the following days, the international students were offered a varied program: a guided city tour of Landshut and a day trip to Regensburg provided exciting cultural insights and made it easier for students to exchange ideas and connect with one another.
Even beyond the Welcome Week, the student initiative STUV IR accompanies the semester with excursions, cultural events, and opportunities for exchange so that international students quickly feel like part of the campus community.
Landshut University of Applied Sciences places great importance on internationalization and maintains partnerships worldwide. Intercultural exchange is an important part of campus life.
