Studying with a vocational qualification
1. general university admission
- Completed master craftsman's examination or equivalent advanced vocational training examination (e.g. business administrator) or
- Completed technical college (e.g. technician) or
- Completed specialised academy (e.g. nursery school teacher) and
- Completion of a mandatory counselling interview (at the student counselling service or the Central Student Counselling and Career Service) at the university with confirmation. Certified counselling interviews from other Bavarian universities are recognised by us.
General university entrance means:
- You are free to choose your degree programme.
- All universities are open to you: Universities of Applied Sciences, universities and art colleges.
2. subject-specific university entrance qualification
- Completion of at least two years of vocational training + at least three years of relevant full-time professional experience and
- Completion of a mandatory counselling interview (at thestudent counselling service or the Central Student Counselling and Career Service) at the university with confirmation. Certified counselling interviews from other Bavarian universities are recognised by us.
- A two-semester trial programme. Final subject-specific admission in accordance with the provisions of the QualV is granted if at least 20 ECTS points (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System points) have been earned after two semesters (trial programme).

- the degree programme must be related to your education and professional practice
- all types of higher education institutions are open to you: universities of applied sciences, universities and art colleges
