Landshut University of Applied Sciences can look back on a successful history. Firmly rooted in the city of Landshut and the region, it has developed an increasingly diversified teaching and research programme over the past 50 years.

1971Start of study activities as a branch of the FH-Weihenstephan
1978Foundation of the Landshut University of Applied Sciences with the Business Administration and Social Work degree programmes
1983Establishment of the Faculty of Engineering with the Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering degree programmes
1990Establishment of the Faculties of Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering
1993Computer Science degree programme
1999Industrial Engineering and Management degree programme
2001 Establishment of the Language Centre
2001Establishment of the Faculty of Computer Science
2002Opening of a 24-hour library as the first university in Germany
2002Establishment of the first part-time Master's degree programme "Industrial Goods Marketing and Technical Sales"
2002Foundation of lightweight construction cluster and competence centre

2007Renaming of the departments to faculties
