Landshut University of Applied Sciences offers prospective students the opportunity to apply for a degree programme online. With a simple registration, you can access the university's online application portal and enter all the necessary data quickly and conveniently via an encrypted connection. Assistants guide you through the application and admission process and the status of your application can be viewed at any time.

Technical requirements:

  • Web browser: All modern web browsers (e.g. Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer)
  • Attention: Java Script must be activated!
  • PDF viewer/reader: You will need a PDF viewer programme for the documents provided by the applicant portal

All information for prospective students

The student ID card is available to you for the duration of your enrolment at Landshut University of Applied Sciences and will accompany you throughout your studies.

It offers the following functions:

  • Student ID card with photo
  • Semester ticket
  • Library card
  • Access to the library
  • Access control for car park
  • Canteen card
  • Printing cost accounting

All students are assigned an account with a user name, password and e-mail address upon enrolment. E-mails must be checked regularly via the webmail system as you will receive important messages. You have the option of setting up forwarding to your private e-mail address via the SSO portal.

The following WLAN identifiers (also known as SSID) are offered on the Landshut University of Applied Sciences campus:

  1. eduroam ("WPA2 Enterprise" encrypted and also recommended for security-relevant services (e.g. banking, web email etc.), pre-configured profiles available, this service can also be used automatically at external locations)
  2. @BayernWLAN (unencrypted, not recommended for security-relevant services)

Landshut University of Applied Sciences has computer pools with modern equipment, which are managed by the IT Service. You can find out under which room number these computer pools can be found and what equipment the respective rooms offer in the FAQ section.

Landshut University of Applied Sciences offers students and registered users many helpful functions via the "Events (self-service portal)" tile in the SSO portal. Access is possible via the so-called 2-factor authentication. It is important to log out regularly at the end of a session to prevent misuse by third parties.

It should also be noted that the session is automatically terminated for security reasons if no action has been taken for more than 15 minutes. You must then log in again.

In the CIP pool rooms of Landshut University of Applied Sciences, colour and black-and-white printers as well as plotters for large-format printouts are available for use for a fee. The printing of documents is only possible with credit on your personal print credit account (prepaid procedure).
