Course Outline

The general aim of the undergraduate Bachelor´s degree programme in Social Work is to enable students to act independently and professionally in various fields of social work practice on the basis of scientific knowledge and well-founded methods of action.

Students are prepared for employment in diverse fields of social work. The theoretical, organisational and methodological knowledge imparted is systematically transferred into professional practical action and application knowledge in the course of the degree programme (TOMA matrix). This also includes acquiring the necessary legal, official and fiscal expertise. Cross-cutting tipics include critical reflection on gender and diversity.

In the fifth semester, a practical study semester ist planned, in the context of which a 22-week, continuous compulsory internship must be completed.
