DAAD Cooperation Project - Moldova
Together with the Dräxlmaier Group, Landshut University of Applied Sciences has set itself the objective of adding to the numbers of young engineers benefiting from practical training and education in Moldova. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has approved a grant from funds provided by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development amounting to Euro 215,000 for the establishment of a practically-oriented engineering programme at the state-run Alecu Russo University in Bălți. The project is seen as a results-oriented, logical continuation of the project funded until the end of 2014 and runs until 31.12.2017.
The aim of the project is to professionally supervise and further qualify lecturers and course leaders on the new, hands-on Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Management in Vehicle Construction. Training courses on practical content in teaching are to be held in the form of workshops at Landshut University of Applied Sciences. Selected individual modules are delivered directly on site in Moldova by professors from Landshut University of Applied Sciences, whilst further lectures are transmitted live to Alecu Russo University in Bălți via video conferencing.
