Study Course Regulation

Course Outline

The double Bachelor's degree programme in International Business (IB) systematically prepares students for management activities in international companies. The Faculty focuses on reinforcing the international orientation of the programme, enabling student exchanges in cooperation with partner universities in Cambridge (UK), Dublin (Ireland or Cork), Spartanburg/SC (USA), Strasbourg (France) and Turku (Finland).

  • 7 semesters (of which one practical semester)

  • 3 semesters are completed abroad

Academic Degree


After successful completion of the programme, two academic degrees are awarded (double degree):



  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Landshut
 University of Applied Sciences
  • Bachelor's degree from the foreign partner university (Bachelor of Arts (Hon) or Bachelor of Sciences)

Acquisition of 210 ECTS Points



  • 120 ECTS at Landshut
 University of Applied Sciences
  • 30 ECTS for the foreign internship

  • 60 ECTS at the partner university

Programme schedule

The International Business programme consists of six theoretical semesters and one practical semester. Students attend the first four theoretical semesters at Landshut University of Applied Sciences and the additional three semesters abroad.

  • The 1st and 2nd semesters comprise an introduction to business administration and economics, accounting and cost accounting, financial and investment economics, information technology and statistics, plus two foreign languages.

  • In the 3rd and 4th semesters, lectures are taught in English. Their content includes marketing and sales, human resources management, organisation, materials management and law.

  • The internship in a non-German speaking country may be completed by students in either the 5th or 7th semester.

  • The final two theoretical semesters are undertaken at a foreign partner university. The programme concludes with a Bachelor's thesis.
