Establishment as an independent university of applied sciences offering courses in Business Administration and Social Work
1983
Opening of the Faculty of Engineering with courses in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering (separate faculties since 1991)

Introduction of the Computer Science programme (separate faculty since 2001)

Start of the Industrial Engineering programme

Founding of the Language Centre

- Opening of a 24-hour library, the first university to do so nationwide

- Founding of the PuLL® (Production and Logistics) Centre of Excellence

- Adoption of the first University Development Plan
- Setting up of the Medical Technology Network

- Expansion of the University's management to include a 3rd Vice President, for Internationalisation

Start of Junior University for school students in years 9 and 10

- Founding of the following institutes
IKON (Institute for Social Change and Cohesion Research) and IPIM (Institute for Project Management and Information Modelling)
- Placing of two key research priorities in the HRK (German Rectors' Conference) Research Map
- Founding of Campus Company (students entrepreneurial activities)
2015
- 5,480 students in the winter semester of 2015/16 (doubled since 2007)
- Establishment of new courses in Sign Language Interpreting and Engineering Pedagogy (pilot for vocational school teacher training in universities)
- Start of reconstruction of administration and lecture hall building and construction of children's daycare facility
2016
- Setting up of the Technology Centre for Production and Logistics Systems (TZ PULS Dingolfing)
- Opening of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies
2017
- Hauzenberg becomes a new place of study
- Opening of the new administration and auditorium building

- University of Applied Sciences Landshut celebrates its 40th anniversary
- Opening of the new technical centre at the TZE in Ruhstorf
- Groundbreaking ceremony of the LINK start-up center

- Successful completion of diversity audit "Diversität – Vielfalt gestalten"
