Support Services

International Stammtisch

The university's international Stammtisch, or regular get-together, was brought into being in conjunction with the Student Union in November 2011. It was very popular among the students and now takes place every month during semester-time.

Information on dates and locations can be found under the Dates tab on the university's website. Please also note the Student Union information.

Orientation Week

The orientation for our foreign students takes place in September, before the official beginning of the semester. The programme and all of the details will be provided with your admission confirmation.

Buddy Programme

How do I activate the internet in my hall of residence? Where is the best beer in town? Who can take me to the immigration authorities? Who can I chill out with on a weekend?

International students can discuss these and any other questions with their buddies. Lots of students at the university have agreed to act as voluntary buddies to help international students to integrate at their new university and also to enhance their own personal intercultural experience. The university issues participants with a confirmation of their voluntary intercultural commitment.

Interested? We are always on the look-out for students to support us and get involved! Information is available from the International Office or the Student Union.

Tandem Programme

In the Tandem Programme organised by the Language Centre in cooperation with DiLA (the German language school in Landshut), two participants can each learn their partner's language.

Language Programmes

The inter-faculty Language Centre at Landshut University of Applied Sciences offers professional language lessons in many different languages at various levels. Studying German alongside your degree programme is highly recommended.
