Currently, the library holds 100,000 volumes, 200 periodicals, more than 145,000 e-books and a considerable number of electronic journals. The library stock primarily covers the subjects of Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration and Social Work. The library also provides access to numerous databases and as a special service Tablets and E-Readers can be borrowed from the library.
The library is a central facility of the university and is open to all members. During opening hours, admission is granted to anyone who has an academic interest.
Students of the UAS Landshut are automatically registered; the student ID card also functions as a library card and acts as a key to the library 24/7.
Non-university members need to present their ID-Card to get a library card (free of charge).
Cardholders are responsible for all items on a card, all use made of the card and all charges made against it. If your card is lost or stolen, inform the library immediately.
With your library card, you will have access to your own personal library account via the library catalog. In order to log in, you need your user number, which can be found as “Bibliotheksnummer” on your student ID card.
The initial password for your account is your birth date (6 digits) in German order: ddmmyy. Via your account you can extend the loan period of your borrowed media or reserve media borrowed by other users.

Renew Media (“Bibliotheksnummer” on student ID + birth date ddmmyy)
Literature available in our library can be found in the Library Catalogue. The classmark at the bottom of every hit indicates the shelf on which you will find the requested book. The InfoGuide also shows the status of the book, e.g. if the book is currently on loan.
Our website offers links to many databases in order to search for books, journal articles, statistics or DIN standards. For students many licensed materials can also be accessed while off campus via EZproxy. To log in use your university username and password provided by the IT services.
Books can be checked out and returned at the circulation desk or at the self-service terminals. To return books in the evening or on the weekend, please use the self-service terminals or the container in the lobby of the library.
A maximum of 30 items can be checked-out at the same time.
The loan period for books is usually 4 weeks. most library materials can be renewed up to five times (via the self-service terminals, the online library account or at our circulation desk), unless they have been requested by another user.
Reserved media or Interlibrary loan orders are ready for collection at our circulation desk during the service hours.
Materials which are not owned by our library can be ordered via Interlibrary Loan. The order can be placed in the ‘Gateway Bayern’ catalogue. Interlibrary loan for books is free. For journal articles, a fee will be charged (€ 1.50 for up to 40 pages).
