German Rectors' Conference Research Map

Research in Germany: Landshut included in the research map of the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) with two key research priorities in the fields of Automotive and Social Change & Cohesion Research.

The research map of the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) presents outstanding areas of research by German universities - including two key research priorities at Landshut University of Applied Sciences. Landshut University was able to successfully present two research topics: Automotive and Social Change & Cohesion Research in a nationwide application process.  The research map, which is searchable by subject area, enables the universities to provide information jointly whilst remaining individually responsible for that information, about the key research priorities that have a particular impact on their own institutional profile.

The "Automotive" research priority combines research and development on questions regarding resource-efficient automotive technology with the focus on lightweight design materials and structural technology, electronics and system integration, energy storage systems for electromobility and the optimisation of production and logistical systems.

The "Social Change & Cohesion Research" priority area picks up on problems of social change processes, develops practical concepts and in so doing focuses on social cohesion. The subject of analysis includes exclusion and resilience experiences in a socially disparate society.

This bilingual research map enables the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) to provide information about the thematic focal areas of research in their universities. The research map makes it possible to search for according to the research topics that have a particular influence on the institutional profile of a university. The research topics can be searched by subject area and by region on http://www.forschungslandkarte.de.
