The Institute for Project Management and Information Modelling considers itself to be a first point of contact in the subject areas mentioned.

The Institut

The institute considers itself to be a university-wide expert partner with respect to project management and information modelling in the fields of research, teaching and executive education.

  • Domain-specific modelling languages (DSML)
  • Modelling tools
  • Model-driven software development

The institute deals with these topics in:

  • Applied research projects
  • Teaching and executive education (university certificate courses in project management)
  • Knowledge transfer

The scope of work ranges from hybrid project management topics through to information systems development, whereby above all, project management in mid-tier companies, agile project management and process modelling are particular areas of focus in terms of research work and executive education. The IPIM is an Academic Member of the Object Management Group (OMG).

The institute fosters the research, development and dissemination of methods and tools in the subject areas mentioned. Attractive educational programmes offered by the institute support companies and institutions in their own development and are an important knowledge transfer tool. In terms of teaching, students have access to current topics for theses and project work as well as opportunities to further develop their qualifications and skills in the form of seminars and internationally recognised certificates.
