Network for Medical Technology

The Medical Technology Network was set up as an application-oriented network in 2012, as a former ESF-funded knowledge transfer project. For the now loose network of companies and institutions from science and research, measures in training and further education will be organised and carried out even after the end of the funding period. This is combined with technology transfer in the context of technical research and development work in medical technology: development, production and application of medical devices and instruments, software applications and systems to improve health care.

Cooperation in the network can range from small and short measures - in the sense of student research projects, theses and service contracts - to publicly funded and thus longer-term research projects. Landshut University of Applied Sciences sees itself as a contact partner for medical technology issues in the region.

In general, the activities in medical technology at Landshut University of Applied Sciences cover the development, production and application of medical devices, instruments, software applications and systems in order to subsequently improve healthcare, make more reliable diagnoses or carry out medical examinations even more optimally.
