Network for Medical Technology
The application-oriented Network for Medical Technology came into being on 1 March 2012 as an ESF-funded knowledge transfer project. With, at present, more than 50 Bavarian member companies from a wide variety of technological fields plus numerous other partners from medicine, science and policy, the network deals through a variety of event formats with medical applications, above all in the field of minimally-invasive imaging, point-of-care devices for emergency response, new materials and medical assistance systems, as well as applications in telemedicine and data networking.
Alongside joint technology scouting with hospitals, emergency services and users of medical technology, a further area of emphasis is raising the level of expertise of companies in, among other areas, the field of quality management, and connecting manufacturers and suppliers across borders.
