Well prepared for the future

Poster symposium by the Medical Technology research group exhibits students’ work

Closely related to practice and interdisciplinary exchange between the faculties – two of the attributes that distinguish the Landshut University of Applied Sciences. This fact was clearly highlighted once again on Wednesday evening. The Medical Technology research group had invited students as well as guests from industry and the hospital sector to a poster symposium on campus.

“We are really delighted to be able to host this symposium for the first time,” emphasised Prof. Dr. Stefanie Remmele, who heads the research group. “The posters impressively show how our students come into contact with current research topics very early on in order to be prepared for the start of their career as best as possible after their graduation.”

Numerous aspects from a wide variety of trends were represented on the poster walls – from 3D printing to augmented reality, wearables and artificial intelligence to invitro diagnostics. The exhibiting students come from courses of studies in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science and mechanical engineering and therefore from three different faculties.

The poster symposium gave students as well as industry and hospital representatives alike the chance to expand their network and discuss possible practical semesters, final theses or career prospects.
