Students from Southern England visit the University and City Hall

For one week, students from Plymouth Marjon University are visiting Hochschule Landshut, participating in lectures and excursions.

Representing Mayor Alexander Putz, Councilor Ludwig Zellner welcomed a group of 10 students from Plymouth Marjon University on Monday in the Old Plenary Hall of the City Hall. The young English students are guests at the Faculty of Social Work at Hochschule Landshut as part of a university cooperation.

The students are accompanied by Prof. Dr. Samantha Hauptmann from Marjon University. The group was also welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Work, Prof. Dr. Bettina Kühbeck, and the program coordinator, Prof. Dr. Mechthild Wolff from Hochschule Landshut. In his welcome speech, Zellner provided an overview of the history of Landshut, with a special focus on the upcoming Landshut Wedding, and warmly welcomed the international guests to Landshut. "Enjoy your time in our beautiful city," Zellner said, "which I'm sure will offer you some interesting encounters!"

During their one-week stay, the Marjon University delegation will visit youth welfare facilities, including the Startklar gGmbH, the Catholic Youth Social Services, the Alte Kaserne, as well as the correctional facility. The group will also travel to Dachau, Regensburg, and Munich.
