Music and Movement Lab

Music and Movement Lab

"Music expresses what cannot be said and about which it is impossible to remain silent." (Victor Hugo)

Music as a medium in social work serves as a means of communication, design and expression and complements the area of aesthetic practice at our faculty.

While the Audio and Video Lab with its integrated recording studio focuses on practice opportunities for bands and music groups as well as recording projects, the Music and Movement Lab in DU 02 offers sufficient space for music and movement education programmes as part of aesthetic practice and the Studium Generale.

Comprehensive equipment, which was largely financed by tuition fees, is available for students and teachers to experiment, interpret, communicate, improvise and compose.

There should be no limit to creativity here, because music transcends boundaries, connects and moves.
